Spirit Entities

Spirit Entities are ethereal beings that live in the spirit world. Generally speaking, everything that exists in the spirit world without a direct and complete physical analogue in the human/visible world is considered a spirit entity. At first this may seem confusing, since adept psychosensitives sometimes see spirit presences that seem to belong to buildings or inanimate objects.

Many spirits are evil and want nothing but to cause destruction to our world. Some aren’t intelligent at all, so they don’t consciously attempt to do us harm, but are feral beings and destruction is their natural state of existence. A ghost hunter’s job is to seek out and destroy these spirits wherever they impinge on or endanger human life. One type of spirit, known as partners, wish to protect humans from these evil ghosts and will seek out a particular hunter, claiming them as their own, and will offer what assistance they can to them. Many spirit entities simply act within their invisible ecosystem just as mundane animals do in theirs. The problems that arise in these cases occur because although humans are top of the food chain in our native plane, on the spirit plane we are very vulnerable. Most, however, view humans with indifference and make no contact with them at all.

Some people occasionally think they see something out of the corner of their eye, but when they look, there's nothing there. Or when people talk of cold chills, or strange feelings of deja vu, or when they just know something is in the room with them, even when they can't see anything: all these occurrences and more are subtle signs of a nearby spirit.
